BIOGRAPHIES

Игорь Клищенко (Igor Klishchenko)

In 1991 I took advantage of the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ in my heart as our Lord and Savior. The message about Salvation came to me from two American missionaries.

God began guiding and changing me. During 16 years there has been a great deal of witness of God’s love for me. If I chose to tell about everything it would fit into a book, probably, not even one, but so far I’m not a writer, I’m rather a composer, a little of a singer, an organizer, a little of a businessman, the worship leader, a member of children’s service, son, brother, husband, dad…

But all those mentioned qualities and gifts can’t be valuable if they are not supported by real gratitude and love for the Creator of all the existing – for God who sacrificed his Only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, for The One who always guides us through the Holy Spirit.

From the very first days of the foundation of the church in Kaluga I have been on the service. At this very time I met my future spouse, Yelena. Together we were setting up children’s service, she was a teacher of children’s church, and I being the worship leader helped her in this service. Soon we got married and we had a son, Daniel, and a year and a half later we had a daughter, Alina. We underwent many ordeals, but we overcame everything and stood our ground thanks to God and to our faith in Him. We are with God and that’s why we are happy!

About five years ago we came to Moscow with the evangelizing poetic-musical performance. My wife recited poems and I played my songs with a music group. After the concert a woman who worked in an orphanage came up to me. She showed me the picture of the children and began asking me to come to their orphanage. I promised to pray for that opportunity. Since then that picture has been in our family picture album and my heart has been in prayer for those children.

A year ago I got acquainted with Ken Wilcox, director of Orphan Cry Ministries. After learning about the activities of this organization I asked about the opportunity of visiting the orphanages together with them. Ken gave me that chance and now we’re serving together. During all that time we have become friends and I believe that God is with us in this service. One more of my prayers has been heard, thank God for that!

Children in the orphanages need God’s love and I’m ready to bring this love to them.
Children in the orphanages need father’s love and I’m ready to bring this love to them.
Children in the orphanages need brother’s love and I’m ready to bring this love to them.
Children in the orphanages need friend’s love and I’m ready to bring this love to them.
Children in the orphanages can become your family, please, begin praying for Orphan Cry Ministries.

With love in Christ,  Igor Klishchenko.

ФАРИД Роменскии (Farid Romenski)

In 1996, for the first time in my mature age I heard about Jesus Christ when I was invited to an evangelizing concert in our village. It was held by the only Christian church in the village. There were guests from the USA taking part in that performance. Probably, at that time they were the only reason for me to go to see it. Since that day I began attending the services and feeling God’s love for me. But the real personal meeting with God happened much later - In 2001.

God used me in different ways. 2002 was the first time I met Ken Wilcox. I was deeply touched by his desire to help and to serve in the Kaluga orphanages and later in those of the whole region. When I saw the eyes of those kids Ken visited I decided to start helping him when possible. I won’t find enough words to describe the feelings which overwhelm me when I look into the eyes of those children knowing that they have no moms. We’ve been cooperating with Orphan Cry for a couple of years. Their visits bring children a lot of joy.

In 2004 I got married. Now we have a son who is 15 months old. And now I understand even more how much children need love and salvation in Jesus Christ. I’m very grateful to Orphan Cry for the opportunity to serve together to those kids who unfortunately weren’t so lucky as we are.

Кристина Майнгардт (Kristina Mayngardt)

My birthday was the first miracle in my life. Before my birth my parents had broken up and besides according to doctors’ predictions I was to have been born a physical and mental invalid. But God had his own plan for my life. On August 26 1990 I appeared on earth, absolutely healthy child.

In 1993 my Mom accepted Lord in her heart. Since then Jesus has become an essential part of my life. Rather young I began to take an active part in the local church’s service, helping in the youth group and being an active worship participant.

In 2003 I had a chance of being present at a holiday for the children from orphanages organized by Orphan Cry Ministries. I was greatly impressed by the love and warmth given to those children. But what is most important – my heart kept inside those nice wonderful kids who, unfortunately, didn’t have enough love and caress, who were not important to anyone. I remembered the children from the orphanage with whom I studied at school and was friends before. They often invited me to their concerts where they used to sing about their mothers and fathers that they were dreaming so much to have. Already at that time my little heart started burning with the desire to help them, to become their friend and to give them a part of my love. And now I have this opportunity to make my childish dreams come true. I gladly cooperate with Orphan Cry giving my love to others and also fulfilling God’s plan for my life.

As for my life I have a wonderful thoughtful mom. I’m going to apply for a Christian college for my further service to God.
